What is Pathways Learning Studio?

Pathways Learning Studio is the next step forward for Pathways Assessment (formerly ELS) and Pathways Learning (formerly ScootPad), bringing together assessments, mastery learning, analytics, and instructional resources in one environment - making teaching and assessment easier and helping students to succeed.

How does Pathways Assessment fit in Pathways Learning Studio?

The Pathways benchmark assessments, item banks, and next-step instructional resources previously offered by ELS are now available alongside other Learning Explorer teaching and learning solutions within an expanded suite of capabilities within Pathways Learning Studio.

Why was the interface changed?

We've updated the sign-in experience and navigation to make Pathways Assessment easier to use and to provide all of our learning solutions together in Pathways Learning Studio. You'll notice a cleaner login page and a more streamlined navigation structure that helps you reduce the number of clicks to find key features more quickly.

Do I need to learn a completely new system?

No, you won't need to learn a completely new system. All the features and capabilities you currently use will still be available. While the look and navigation have been updated to make the experience smoother, the core functionality you rely on remains unchanged.

When will I see the new experience?

Districts are scheduled to transition to the new experience in two phases: Phase 1 on March 30, 2026, and Phase 2 on May 11, 2026. Your Pathways Assessment administrator has been notified of which phase your district is schedule for in the rollout.

Has the login process changed? Do I need new credentials?

No new credentials are required. You will now be able to log in directly at www.PathwaysLearningStudio.com without entering a school code.

Will my bookmarks still work?

Bookmarked links will continue to function, automatically redirecting you to Pathways Learning Studio. We strongly recommend that you go ahead and update your bookmark to PathwaysLearningStudio.com.

Are there changes expected with Single Sign On (SSO)?

There are no changes to Single Sign On (SSO).

Will whitelisting requirements change?

The updated whitelisting requirements were distributed to district contacts in December 2025. There are no additional changes.

Were any features removed?

Is the classic version of the interface still available?

Pathways Learning Studio is the next step forward for Pathways Assessment (formerly ELS) and Pathways Learning (formerly ScootPad), bringing together assessments, mastery learning, analytics, and instructional resources in one environment - making teaching and assessment easier and helping students to succeed. The classic version of the module previously known as Pathways will no longer be available after May 11.

Can I customize my dashboard?

While you cannot customize your Pathways Learning Studio dashboard, you can add quick access to your preferred AI Teacher Tools by starring them, which will allow them to appear in the dedicated "Starred tools" section of the dashboard.

Where can I access the AI Teacher Tools?

AI Teacher Tools can be accessed under the Resources module in the left navigation menu.

Will my existing data still be available?

Yes, all existing data and content will remain available.

Will there be future updates?

Yes. We will continue to make updates over time to improve the experience, enhance usability, and add new capabilities. As always, updates will be guided by feedback from our users and our commitment to supporting effective teaching, learning, and decision-making.
